I'm from Ohio originally and we called these Buckeyes. Get it? Ohio Buckeyes - GO Bucks!! You can make a MICHIGAN buckeye by making them square! I made them square as a joke for the Ohio / Michigan games a couple of years ago and they were a hit.

Paraffin Wax, Parowax, Baker's Wax, or Cooking Wax - It is classified as a chemical preservative, is widely used on fruits, vegetables, and candy to make them shiny and pretty and to retard moisture loss and spoilage. Paraffin is still commonly used to seal home-canned jellies and jams.
You can find paraffin wax in your grocery store where canning jars and supplies are sold.

to make it easier when coating the peanut butter balls in chocolate try setting the peanut butter balls on a small pan and putting them in the freezer for 5-8 minutes, insert a tooth pick in the semi-frozen ball and then dip it in the chocolate coating.

The peanut butter balls are easy to make AND yummy. Would have been nice to know "icing sugar" was confectionate powder but I figured it out. It is very hard to dip the balls in melted semi-choc chips because it is very thick. Maybe the Parowax makes a difference in texture but I could never find it at a local store.

The recipe is nice but you repeated Step 2 in Step 3 instead of giving the instructions of how to dip the peanut butter balls. That above all is the most difficult part because sometimes the pb balls fall apart.
