Pasta in Spiced Red Clam Sauce Recipe

A "Fruity" pasta sauce- comfort food
 
Ingredients
  1   1. 1 can red clam sauce  
  1   2. 1/2 red tomato, chopped (seeded/seedless)  
  1   3. 2 slices portobello mushroom, diced  
  1   4. 1 Laughing Cow Swiss cheese spread wedge  
  1   (3/4 oz.)  
  1   5. 1 tsp. horseradish  
  1   6. cilantro  
  1   7. vegetable oil  
  1   8. salt  
  1   9. angel hair pasta or linguini  
 
Instructions
 
  1. Boil pasta in water, oil and salt until desired tenderness is reached and set aside in strainer.

 
  2. Stir-fry tomato and mushroom pieces in very little oil in medium sized frying pan over stove on high heat until pieces turn yellow-brown.

 
  3. Add red clam sauce (adjust amount to taste) and reduce heat to medium.

 
  4. Stir for 3 minutes.

 
  5. Add Laughing Cow Swiss cheese and stir in sauce over medium heat until cheese dissolves (try keeping all items in frying pan well-stirred and equilibriated).

 
  6. Add horseradish (1 tsp.) to sauce mixture and stir for 5 more minutes over medium heat.

 
  7. Add cilantro and stir sauce for 4-5 more minutes over low-medium heat.

 
  8. Let sauce stand for 2 minutes with heat off.

 
  9. Serve spiced red clam sauce mixture over boiled pasta.
