Add milk gradually (if you add it too fast it splashes and is hard to mix in).
| |
3.
Mix in remaining ingredients.
| |
4.
Put in buttered casserole.
| |
5.
Heat through (bake in slow oven (250 deg. F) for 20-30 minutes, or in microwave).
| |
6.
Cover top with marshmallows.
| |
7.
Return to oven until marshmallows are slightly melted and a bit brown (if the oven is too hot, the marshmallows will disappear!) This step can- not be done in the microwave.

| just reviewing this recipe it is obvious that there is too much liquid. 1st of all I would drain the sweet potatoes BEFORE mashing them up and 2nd I would cut the milk to 1/2 cup and see how the consistency is before adding more milk. I might even like to try using half and half instead of regular milk. |

| The consistency is all wrong - I didn't even add all the milk, and it was like sweet potato soup with marshmallows on top - gross. Hardly anyone would eat it. |
