In a frying pan, brown ground beef and onion. Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly for 15 minutes or more. Serve hot by scooping the mixture onto toasted buns.

* A spicy and simple sloppy joe -- This recipe comes from my wife's mom, who got it from her mother-in-law in western New York state. It's very easy to make and tastes a lot better than any mix.
