Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt; blend in beet liquid, vinegar, and butter.

Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add beets; let stand 10 minutes. Heat.

| also add a can of pinneapple chunks. Drain pineapple juice and add to beet juice and heat till thicken, add pineapple chunks to beets annd heat juices and beets and pineapple all together until warm. It's different and ohhhhhhhhhhh so good. |

| Very easy recipe..Adding about 1/2 med onion sliced really perks it up. |
