Recipes for Dutch apple pie go back centuries. The basis of Dutch apple pie is a crust on the bottom and around the edges. This is then filled with pieces or slices of apple, usually a crisp and mildly tart.

½ c. white sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

¾ c. sour cream

5-7 slices apples

1/3 c. flour

1 c. brown sugar

1-9” pie shell
Instructions

Fill unbaked shell with apples. Mix white sugar, flour and cinnamon together and spoon over apples.

Completely cover top of pie with brown sugar. Spoon sour cream over brown sugar. Bake at 450 F. for 10 minutes then turn down to 350 F. for 30 minutes or until top is golden and apples are tender.
