Chili Tortilla Bake Recipe

Yield: 8 servings
 
Ingredients
  1   1 lb. Ground beef  
  1   2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce  
  1   1 can (14 1/2 oz) black beans, drained & rinsed  
  1   1 can (8 3/4 oz) whole kernel corn, undrained  
  1   1 can (4 1/2 oz) chopped green chilies, undrained  
  1   2 T. Chili Powder  
  1   2 T. Minced Onion  
  1   1 t. ground cumin  
  1   1 t. garlic salt  
  1   1/2 t. oregano leaves  
  1   6 (8 in.) flour tortillas, divided (I use 8 tortillas)  
  1   2 C. shredded cheddar cheese  
 
Instructions
 
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef & drain. Add tomoato sauce, beans, corn & green chilies.

 
  2. Stir in next 5 seasonings. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered for 15 min. In 2-qt.

 
  3. Baking dish, coated with pam, place 3 tortillas to cover bottom. Overlap as needed.

 
  4. Layer with half of chili mixture and half of cheese. Top with remaining tortillas, meant mixture and cheese. Bake 30 minutes.
