Chicken Croissant Almondine Recipe

This was my grandmother's recipe. The greatest cook I've ever known.
 
Ingredients
  3  cups cook/diced chicken  
  1  can cream of chicken soup  
  2/3  cup mayonaisse  
  1/2  cup sour cream  
  2  tbls minced onion  
  1  can (8 oz) water chestnuts  
  1  can (4 oz) mushrooms  
  1/2  cup celery  
    cresent rolls  
  TOPPING:  
  2/3  cup swiss or american shredded cheese  
  1/2  cup sliced almonds  
  2  tbls butter  
 
Instructions
 
  1. In saucepan mix soup, mayo, sour cream, and onion.

 
  2. Stir in chicken, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and celery. Cook on medium until bubbling.

 
  3. Pour into 9x13 pan and roll our cresent rolls over top of casserole.

 
  4. Mix cheese & Almonds and spread over dough.

 
  5. Melt butter and drizzle over casserole.

 
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25.
