Broiled Orange Chicken Recipe

Enjoy this simple to prepare, wonderful to eat chicken dish. A wonderful combination of chicken, barbecue sauce and preserves, it's sure to be a family favorite
 
Ingredients
  1  2½-3-pound broiler-fryer chicken, cut up  
    Cooking oil  
  1/2  cup bottled barbecue sauce  
  1/2  cup orange marmalade, plum preserves or pineapple preserves  
 
Instructions
 
  1. Brush chicken pieces with oil; season with salt and pepper. Place chicken, skin side down, on rack of unheated broiler pan.

 
  2. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat about 20 minutes. Turn; broil about 10 minutes more.

 
  3. Meanwhile for the sauce, in saucepan combine barbeque sauce and marmalade or preserves. Brush chicken pieces with sauce; broil about 5 minutes more or until tender.

 
  4. Meanwhile, heat sauce through. To serve, brush chicken with sauce and pass the remainder around. Garnish chicken with an orange or lemon slice or curly endive if desired.
