Melt shortening in a pan.
|

Turn down heat and add cardamom and Besan.
|

Fry, stirring constantly to prevent burning till it has changed color to brown and smells done. (Test: a few drops of water sprinkled on it splutters instantly).

|
Turn off heat and stir in sugar.
|
|
| |
5.
|
Spread on a platter 1/2" thick.
|
|
| |
6.
|
Cut into diamond shapes after it has cooled down.
|
