Basic White Sauce With Variations Recipe

Ingredients
  2  tb Butter  
  2  tb Flour  
  1  c Milk  
    Salt & pepper to taste

  1. Blend milk and flour. Add butter [melted]. Mix together. Heat on medium in 'nuker about one minute. Stir. Repeat till reaches desired thickness.

 
  Variations:

 
  2. Cheese - add 1/2 c. cheese and either 1/4 tsp. dry mustard or 1/4 tsp. spice sauce such as teriyaki or Worcestershire, etc. .

 
  3. Red - add 3 Tbls. ketchup.

 
  4. Curry - 1/2 tsp. curry powder.

 
  5. Cucumber - add 1/2 c. grated or diced 'cukes and pinch of cayenne.

 
  6. Sea Food - add 1/2 c. cooked. cocktail shrimp or chopped other sea food.
