Adobong Tagalog Recipe

Adobong Tagalog is Filipino food. Filipino food is an intriguing cuisine that has elements of Southeast Asian, Chinese and Mexican or Spanish influences. It has everything from spring rolls (lumpias) to rellenos dishes.
 
Ingredients
  1   1 kg pork spareribs, cut up  
  1   2 tbsp DEL MONTE Red Cane Vinegar  
  1   1/2 tsp sugar  
  1   MARINADE  
  1   1 can (140g) DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce  
  1   1 tbsp sugar  
  1   1/4 tsp iodized fine salt (or 3/4 tsp iodized rock salt)  
  1   2 cloves garlic, crushed  
  1   1 pc medium onion, chopped  
 
Instructions
 
  1. SEASON pork with 1/2 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt) and 1/4 tsp pepper. Set aside.

 
  2. COMBINE ingredients for marinade and marinate pork for 20 minutes. Add DEL MONTE Vinegar and sugar. Simmer pork with marinade for 1 hour or until meat is tender. If desired, serve with fried potatoes.
