Nut Goodie Bars

1 (11.5-ounce) package chocolate chips, divided use

1 (11-ounce) package buttescotch flavored chips, divided use

2 cups peanut butter, divided use

2 pounds powdered sugar

1 cup butter

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1/4 cup instant vanilla pudding mix

1 teaspoon maple flavoring

2 cups spanish peanuts

Line a jelly-roll pan with wax paper.

Combine half the chocolate chips, half the butterscotch chips and 1 cup peanut
butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute stir.

Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each one, until mixture is smooth. Pour into prepared pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes (mixture should be firm, but not too firm).

Combine powdered sugar, butter, evaporated milk, vanilla pudding mix and maple flavoring in a medium mixing bowl.

Beat until smooth. Spread over chocolate layer. Melt remaining chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and peanut butter in microwave. Stir in peanuts and pour over the top.

Refrigerate until firm.
Cut into small squares.
Makes about 30.
